And this is exactly what Swapnil Soni does.

Soni, from Jamalpur Darwaja in Ahmedabad, India, feeds around 500 grey langur monkeys every Monday.

Soni is famous around the city and is known for making 1 700 chapatis (an Indian-style flatbread) every Monday to feed the monkeys and prevent them from starving.

The Times of India reported on YouTube that Soni has been doing this for the past 10 years, and has not given up – even during financial difficulties.

Soni reportedly said that he began feeding the monkeys when he realised that starvation leads them to invade and destroy villagers' crops in a desperate attempt to feed their hunger.

He says the monkeys eagerly await his arrival, and wait their turn to be fed.
