Cameroon Bar Association Gets New President
Barrister Charles Chakounte Patie was over the weekend elected new President of the Cameroon Bar Association after the body’s General Assembly in Douala.
He replaces Jackson Ngie Kamga who stepped aside in the dying moments of the Assembly after serving for one mandate which extended to four years due to the Anglophone crisis.

Jackson Kamga finished tenth on the rang of voted members of the Bar Council with 758 votes far behind Tchakounte Charles 1158, forcing him to step aside and nceding his place to Mohamadou Souleymanou.
Before that, Barrister Evaristus Morfaw was elected on Saturday as President of the General Assembly replacing Ntumfor Nico Halle who had respected his word to step aside after serving just one mandate.
